L'oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation Review

 Today, I am reviewing a foundation from L’Oréal which was launched a couple of months back – L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte up to 24-Hr Foundation. Read on to find out how this fared on me.

 Product Description:
Achieve a matte finish that won’t fall flat with this air-light, long-wearing liquid formula. Lightweight and creamy, foundation goes on smooth with a semi-matte finish that lasts up to 24 hours—hiding imperfections for a smooth, clear complexion.

 How To Use:
To apply, use fingers or your favorite makeup brush.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte 24-Hr Foundation:

Packaging:  The foundation comes in a flat plastic tube with a screw on cap. The tube feels really handy and is travel friendly. The tube has a see-through section to display the foundation’s color, but somehow, all the shades looked the same to me in the supermarket display lights(i bought it on ebay). And I really had to bank on my luck to pick my shade. I love that L’Oréal has clearly laid out what to expect from the product on the packaging: this is a semi-matte, medium coverage, air-light foundation and is expected to last for 24 hours.

Performance:  I have a combination skin – my T-zone tends to be oily and my cheeks are normal-to-dry. So, I was on the lookout for a foundation with a matte finish.

Texture: I would not call it an “air-light” foundation as it has a slightly thick consistency almost like a creamy lotion.  It quickly sets to a powder-like finish and hence you would need to work fast to blend it out. It blends pretty well with a brush or fingers.

Coverage:  The coverage is medium and provides a nice even skin tone in one layer. The coverage is surely buildable to slightly more without looking cake-y. But, it does not provide a full coverage and you would need a concealer for any heavy skin imperfections.

Staying Power:  L’Oréal claims that this foundation can hold good up to 24 hours. Now, I haven’t tested that. But it easily lasts a whole day – around 10 hours and my skin does not become oily or shiny at the end of day. Nor does the makeup start looking patchy. That is quite an achievement for me and I am extremely pleased with it.

Overall, this foundation is true to all the claims that it makes and I am extremely happy with it. The only downside for me is that the shade that I chose – Caramel Beige looks slightly dark on me and I would have really loved it if  I had  got a chance to test out the shades before buying.

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte 24-Hr Foundation:

  • True matte finish which works really well for oily-skinned beauties.
  • Has a light feel and provides medium coverage.
  • Easily blendable with brush or fingers.
  • Holds up really well throughout the day.
  • Fragrance free.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte 24-Hr Foundation:

  • Quickly dries down and needs fast blending.
  • Shade range is difficult to navigate through.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte 24-Hr Foundation?
This is a foundation which is really true to its claims and I will surely recommend it to oily skinned beauties.
I will repurchase but maybe a different shade.

The Black gold - Nourishing Facial oil is created by Fatiha Rouf known as Fatihasworld. As mention in her website : Black Seed is from the Nigella Sativa Plant and it is the  cold pressed black seed oil , which we use for our  Black Gold Facial Oil .
