Getting a professional facial is a delicacy. There’s nothing like being pampered in a cozy treatment room bed—the steam, the thorough pore cleaning, and we can’t forget the facial massage! Tips and Tricks to get ride of Blackheads

Image
Blackheads occur when your pores become clogged with excess sebum (an oil created by the sebaceous glands that keeps skin supple) and dead skin cells. The difference between a black head and a white head is simply whether or not the pore is open or closed. If the pore is open, the plug of sebum/skin cells oxidizes as it is in contact with the oxygen in the air, which turns it black. Blackheads are not caused by dirt. Let’s make that clear from the beginning. Scrubbing your face obsessively is not a good way to get rid of your blackheads, and is only going to make it worse as you’ll just end up drying out your skin, which will cause more oil to be created to make up for everything you stripped away, and…well it’s a vicious cycle. For this reason, don’t use some of these remedies more than 2-3 times a week, such as the sugar scrub and pore strips. I know it can be hard to resist, but your skin will be better off this way. Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser

Image
I saw this product being used by one of my favorite beauty You Tubers so I thought it was essential that I buy it and give it a go for myself! And i’m so glad I did, this product works really well to moisturize my face without making me break out or make my face super oily, it is really light weight and rubs into the skin really quickly. That being said because it rubs in quickly I also use this product before I put on my foundation so it glides on smoothly and stays all day! I use a large pea size blob for my face, don’t over do it because a little goes a long way.Suitable for day and night use.

The men’s shaving balm that doubles as a brilliant primer.

Image
Forget shelling out for expensive primers or having four steps before you even get to your foundation – the secret to a flawless base could very well be hiding in your partner’s bathroom cabinet. Right there next to his razor . We’re talking about shaving balm, people. Nikki Tutorials (you may recognise her from her viral video  The Power of Makeup ) first stumbled upon this hack when she was without primer and had to quickly improvise with items at her boyfriend’s house. She claimed the Nivea Post Shave Balm is “a product that has changed my primer life” – and beauty lovers online have been raving about it ever since – including Kylie Jenner who recommends it as a moisturiser alternative for those with oily skin. I’ll be honest – I was skeptical. How on earth was a shaving product formulated for men going to give me the hydrated and smooth base that even some primers can’t? But heading into the supermarket to purchase it. The first thing you notice is th...
